Nicholas Affrunti, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Beck Community Initiative in the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Affrunti received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Louisville in 2017 following the completion of his clinical internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago Institute for Juvenile Research. He has worked with a number of community organizations to help bring evidence-based practices and skills to staff who work with children. He is excited to continue such work for underserved populations. Dr. Affrunti has authored several articles and book chapters on processes in the development of perfectionism and anxiety disorders in pediatric populations. His research interests also include utilizing public health models to increase access to child mental health care.
